TOUR ITINERARY

Pick-up from your Arusha hotel at 8:30 AM, and depart for a full-day adventure in Tarangire National Park, complete with a picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness. As Tanzania’s third-largest national park, Tarangire is famed for its majestic baobab trees, towering over the plains and the wildlife that grazes beneath them. The Tarangire River, the lifeline of the park, draws animals from miles around and provides a perfect setting for your game drive, where you may encounter elephants in large herds, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, eland, oryx, and even the elusive lesser kudu.

After a day filled with incredible wildlife sightings and photo opportunities, we return to your camp or lodge, where a delicious dinner awaits—a perfect end to a remarkable day in one of Tanzania’s most iconic parks.

The excitement for today will be quite high as you make your way into the most celebrated wildlife park in the world – The Serengeti. After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel in the midst of the never ending plain grasslands. The Serengeti, means endless plains in the maasai language and watching the grassland stretch out as far as the eye can see and eventually merging with the sky at the horizon is an absolutely breath-taking view. With an overall land area of 14,763 Square kilometres, it puts our notion about distance to shame.

The Serengeti also houses the glorious “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). Along with the “Big 5”, a very pleasant sighting would be one of Africa’s most beautiful animal – The Impala. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti, known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.

In Seronera, one must really look out for the many lion prides that thrive in this region. You must also look out for the Serengeti “Kopjes” which are massive boulders of granite standing in a sea of grass. They provide ample shelter to a large variety of flora and fauna. A picnic lunch will be done during the day long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a delicious dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

After a hearty breakfast, depart by 8 AM for a full-day exploration of the central Serengeti, one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats. The Seronera area, crossed by the vital Seronera River, attracts a wide variety of animals year-round, making it a prime spot for game viewing. This region is particularly famous for its lion and leopard populations, with prides interacting and hunting across the plains, offering some of the most captivating wildlife experiences in the Serengeti. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the park as you continue your game drive, observing herds of zebra, wildebeest, giraffes, and other iconic African species. The day concludes around 5 PM, followed by a hearty dinner and a well-earned night’s rest at your accommodation.

After breakfast, you will set out for a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, enjoying one last chance to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and herds of wildebeest and zebra as they roam the endless plains. Following this, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater Rim, traveling through scenic landscapes along the way, with a picnic lunch en route to relax and take in the views.

Upon arrival at Ngorongoro, you will be greeted by one of Africa’s most spectacular natural wonders. The crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world, spanning 14 kilometers in diameter and surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes. Its floor is a lush haven, dotted with watering holes and teeming with approximately 30,000 animals, including elephants, buffalo, hippos, wildebeest, zebra, and, with some luck, the elusive black rhino. The rich biodiversity and dramatic scenery make every moment inside this natural amphitheater unforgettable.

As the day draws to a close, you will return to your accommodation, where a hearty dinner awaits and a comfortable bed ensures a good night’s rest.

After an early breakfast, you will descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a full five-hour game drive, exploring this extraordinary natural amphitheater. The crater is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife, and you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, black rhinos, antelopes, and many more. Birdlife is equally impressive, including eagles, vultures, flamingos in Crater Lake, storks, bats, giant vultures, sacred ibis, kori bustards, blacksmith plovers, long-necked herons, and the majestic martial eagle.

A picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool provides a perfect pause to soak in the breathtaking surroundings. After lunch, you will begin the steep ascent to the crater rim, marveling at the panoramic views as you climb. From there, a two-hour drive takes you to your accommodation in Karatu, where a freshly prepared, delicious dinner awaits. After a full day of wildlife encounters and spectacular scenery, a good night’s rest is essential, preparing you for the final leg of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari the following day.

The final day of your safari begins at 8:00 AM with a delicious breakfast before setting out for Arusha via Lake Manyara National Park. Arriving at the park by 9:00 AM, you’ll be greeted by lush forests of acacia and mahogany trees, which provide a stunning backdrop for your half-day game drive. During the morning and early afternoon, you’ll enjoy a leisurely exploration of the park, with a picnic lunch along the way. Keep your eyes open for buffalo, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys, and be on the lookout for the park’s unique tree-climbing lions, a rare and exciting sight. In the right season, the shoreline may turn pink with millions of flamingos, offering a spectacular display of color and life.

By mid-afternoon, you will leave Lake Manyara and begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving at your preferred location by around 6:00 PM. With a heart full of incredible wildlife encounters, breathtaking scenery, and unforgettable moments, this marks the conclusion of your Tanzanian safari and the time to say goodbye to your guide and team, taking with you memories to cherish for a lifetime.
